Healing After Suicide Loss: Postvention for Providers

A customizable framework that organizations can complete before a loss occurs, so the people responsible for your team's care can lead with clarity and compassion instead of starting from scratch in the hardest moment. Includes a crisis response team roster with backups and contacts, phased action checklists covering the first 24 hours through the one-year anniversary, safe messaging guidance for suicide loss, a sample internal notification, a support resource directory, and an after-action review process.‍

This workshop is designed for peers, friends, family, and clinical providers to learn and enhance their knowledge about engaging in conversations with suicide loss survivors.

The Coalition of Clinician Survivors exists to provide support, education, resources and consultation to mental health professionals and other professional caregivers who have experienced suicide losses in personal and/or professional contexts.

Uniting for Suicide Postvention, a portal developed by the Rocky Mountain MIRECC for Suicide Prevention within the Department of Veteran Affairs. Hosts a suite of resources for community members including educational tools and products, podcasts, video stories featuring loss survivors, and blogs.

The SRM Lecture Series is a free, live webinar for providers working with Veterans at risk for suicide offered on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 2-3pm ET. SRM also provides free consultation, support, education and resources that promote therapeutic best practices for professionals working with veterans at risk for suicide.
